Onion Creek Farm and Guest House
Onion Creek Farm and Guest House is located on the northwest edge of Ames, Iowa. We've been growing good food for our local market using organic methods since 1998—greens, herbs, onions, garlic, beans, heirloom tomatoes, among others.

Living a close-to-the-Earth lifestyle before it became vogue, our comfortable home is passive solar, uses wood heat, composting toilets, and Joe drives an electric powered pickup to deliver our vegetables to market. We enjoy music, dance, good food, guests, and lively conversation.

Two guest bedrooms available for overnight, by the week, or longer-term accomodation. These include a kitchenet and shared bath with composting toilet. There is no air-conditioning.

We offer peace and quiet, dark night skies, walks in the woods, farm chore opportunities, prairie flowers, great sunsets, rocking chairs on the porch.

A great place to get away from it all and still be close to town and the Iowa State University campus.

No pets, no smoking, please.
